This short course is designed to provide trainees with the knowledge, skills and attitudes required to become a competent Cook for Korean Cuisine. This short course will also prepare the trainees to exhibit professionalism, teamwork, adaptability and safety practices as per the requirement of the workplace. To obtain certification of this short course, all learning outcomes prescribed must be achieved.

Re-announcement of In-Country Training Program on “ToT – Technical Instruction & Pedagogy” for private training providers
The TVET Professional Services Division, Department of Technical Education, MoLHR will be conducting “ToT- Technical Instruction & Pedagogy for fiscal year 2021-2022” to the regular trainers of Private Training Institutes registered with MoLHR. The training package consist of four modules, each module is for two weeks (96 hour) and one month teaching practice in every module at respective institute. This training is conducted as part of partial fulfillment for the trainer to obtain trainer registration certificate and accreditation of courses from DOS, MoLHR.

The National Zorig Day is observed on 16th May 2022 coinciding with the fifteenth Day of the third month of the Bhutanese calendar to pay respect to artisans, craftsmen and technicians for their contribution towards cultural preservation and socio-economic growth.
Zorig Chusum is pioneered during the reign of Gyalse Tenzin Rabgay which is still practiced in the country. His Holiness the 70th Je khenpo, Trulku Jigme Choedra recognized Pel Dueki Khorlo (Sanskrit: Kalachakra) as the Zorig Deity. While commemorating the 21st Zorig Day this year since its inception in 2001, the day is celebrated in the Institute of Zorig Chusums (IZCs) and Training Institutes (TTIs).The day will be observed with Lhabsang and Thruesel (Cleansing rituals) of vehicles.

A month-long training in Bakery & Confectionery which was conducted in Phuentsholing Thromdey as a part of the Special Skills Development Program (SSDP) was successfully concluded on 12 May, 2022. The training was attended by 41 housewives and Drayang employees residing in Phuentsholing.
The SSDP trainings are designed especially for laid off employees and those affected by COVID-19 Pandemic with the objective to impart skills and knowledge to make them competent in startups of entrepreneurship and also build their skills in taking up the emerging jobs in the labour market.

The 10 days “Training of Employability Skills for Engineers (Construction)” was successfully completed on 30 April 2022 at Athang Institute, Thimphu. The Total 36 of Engineers (Civil and Electrical) were trained and certified in Construction Industry Rules and Regulations (CIRR), Electronic Government Procurement System(e-GP), Construction Management Software (CMS), and Occupational Health and Safety in the construction sector. The trained and certified engineers will be employed by Large & Medium Class contractors during the procurement of works.
